Police Raid At Dytrts Tavern Ends With Seizures
Cedar Rapids detectives led by Detective Captain Frank Bukacek raided Dytrt's tavern on Sixteenth Avenue SW after 6 p m. They confiscated 225 punch boards 197 game packs and 100 50 in cash plus a 44 57 check from a cigar box. A double barrel shotgun a .30 caliber rifle fishing gear and prize boxes were seized. A warrant named Dutrt Jr and covered the tavern upstairs and basement. Some boards were found in the bar room with others in hidden areas. Forty boards were money on the face with coins up to 10 dollars.

Explosions Hit Big Inch Gas Pipeline In Seymour

Lost Train Rescued From Storm West Of Dodge City
About 150 passengers on the California Limited spent Friday stranded a mile west of Dodge City as blizzard conditions halted the train. Rev. R W O Knowles and others were aided by GI train crews after their car bogged down. The tram reached Dodge City near midnight and resumed westward the next morning.

A five member mounted rescue team broke through 19 miles of drifts to reach Mrs Richard Giovanazzi in a deserted sawmill cabin west of Junction Utah. The Los Angeles couple were marooned after their car slid into deep snow on a shortcut to Beaver and survived two days with a tiny fire before rescue.
