New Iowa teachers face state criteria this year
New teachers in Iowa will be evaluated under eight state standards and 42 criteria to obtain a regular license. Ann Feldmann of human resources noted the decision hinges on end results for first year teachers. The law also requires mentor pairing and raises minimum salaries for teachers.
