Snowstorm Dumps Heavy Snow Across Colorado to Nebraska

A major winter storm blanketed the Rockies and plains, causing road closures and at least one death. Keystone Banker F. J. Hoskins Dies in Crash

F. J. Hoskins 71 year old Keystone banker died after a two car collision on the Van Horne Keystone road Saturday. Hoskins died at a Cedar Rapids hospital Saturday evening from multiple injuries. Driver Dick Hubfelt, a Keystone youth, was only slightly injured. Sheriff Ed Thompson reported Hubfelt said Hoskins tried to turn onto a side road and Hoskins car began a left turn leading to the crash two miles west of Van Horne at 4 p.m.

Author John Schindler dies in Monroe crash

Dr. John A. Schindler 52 of Monroe, author of a best seller on mental health, was killed when his car struck a concrete bridge abutment on a return from a patient visit in Twin Grove. A farmer found the wreckage. autopsy to determine if a heart attack preceded the crash.
