Linn-Mar space study seeks public input on bonds and new middle school

About 140 residents attended seven Linn Marion public meetings from Nov 1 to Tuesday to weigh a preliminary plan. It proposes a $16 million bond to add four classrooms at five elementaries and build a new middle school, plus a $7.5 million gym upgrade at Bowman Woods. The plan preserves the K 5 6 8 9 12 configuration from 1997 and aims to meet space through 2010 while noting larger elementary enrollments and reduced art and music time if space is not added.
