Nail bomb in candy box kills seven at Beirut hospital

A nail packed bomb hidden in a box of chocolates exploded in the lobby of Beirut’s American University Hospital killing seven people including the carrier and wounding thirty seven. The device contained TNT rifle grenade and nails. Police questioned whether the woman knew the device’s contents. No Americans reported among the victims.

Timberland log haul with horse teams near Troy Mills

Logger Tom Brislawn of Troy Mills felled about 50 basswood trees in Cedar Rapids area timberland to protect the forest. He then used teams of workhorses to drag and haul the lumber after midday Saturday as Bill Johnson and Jason Barnes assisted with horses and stumps.
