Nominee Brett Talley Faces Scrutiny Over Experience
Alabama lawyer Brett Talley, 36, nominated by President Trump for a lifetime federal judgeship, has practiced law for three years and never tried a case. Senate Judiciary Committee advanced his nomination amid concerns about limited trial experience and partisan writings. The ABA rated him not qualified, while supporters cite broad legal exposure across government and private practice.
