Eastern Iowa Airport aims 110 million in future capital projects
The Cedar Rapids airport plans more than 55 million in improvements since 1990 and another 55 million in the next five years as part of a 1986 master plan update. Director Larry Mullendore notes annual passenger traffic near 1 million with 4 to 6 percent monthly growth and a five-member mayorally appointed commission overseeing a self funded operation.
