Free Thanksgiving Dinner Offered by Cedar House Owner
George Gebran, owner of Cedar House Restaurant in Cedar Rapids, offers a free Thanksgiving dinner for Linn County seniors for the second year. Reservations are slow, with about 200 expressed so far, far short of the 300 minimum goal. Coordinated by Liz Selk of the Linn County Council on Aging, the plan includes transportation assistance, posters at senior sites, and outreach to attendees from last year.
