Title I Allocation To Independence Cut
Independence schools share of federal Title I funds was reduced from 45252 to 38464 this school year due to a general fund cutback. Officials caution the final impact is uncertain since funds for other districts may be unused and Independence could receive more later. The board also heard about faculty committees formed to prepare for a North Central Association evaluation, with a final report expected by October and a November 16 meeting with administrators to review programs.
