Cedar Rapids market quotes on plant delivered good No 2 hogs and sows show a quarter higher Tuesday. Meaty No 1 high yielding hogs may fetch up to 50c over the quotations. No 3 fat hogs could be as much as 50c below these prices.

Clifford R. Basley, 63, head cashier of the University of Iowa business office since 1931, died Tuesday at University Hospital. A World War I veteran, he earlier worked with Cedar Rapids and Tipton banks, helped found the Tipton golf club, and was active in Boy Scout and Methodist church activities. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Robert of Iowa City and James R. of Des Moines. Services Thursday at Beckman’s funeral home with burial in Tipton Masonic Cemetery.
