French Aviators Toast With Scotch Left By Lafayette Escadrille
French flyers of the new Lafayette squadron celebrated their great aerial victory with a toast of Scotch bequeathed by American pilots. Nine German planes were reportedly shot down as the nine-plane French formation suffered no losses. Five American correspondents helped drink the whisky as the unit, whose commander is a World War veteran, preserves the Lafayette name.

Woman Passenger In Car Is Injured
Mrs. Lucille Clayter aged 32 of 725 H Street SW injured with shoulder injuries at 8 15 p m Thursday when the car driven by Mrs. Francis Collins of 821 Eighth Avenue SE collided with a car driven by Anton Pipal of 345 Fifteenth Avenue SW at Eighth Avenue and First Street SE. Collins said she blew her horn as she traveled west on Eighth and Pipal from the north on First Street could not avoid the collision.
