Detour As Culvert Project Shuts Iowa City Intersection
IOWA CITY North Iowa Contractors will close the Dubuque Street Kirkwood Avenue intersection for five months to replace and expand a culvert under Lower Ralston Creek. The project, part of a $2 million flood control and neighborhood revitalization effort, reroutes east west traffic to Benton Street and converts portions of South Clinton and South Dubuque to two way. Normal traffic is expected by April 30 next year.
