Anthrax fear shuts down N J postal facility
A federal judge closed the Bellmawr Processing and Distribution Center in New Jersey after workers doubted the facility was free of anthrax. A misdirected cleaning of the wrong machine prompted the shutdown, with the correct sorting device cleaned later. The hearing was set for Nov. 13 to decide on the closure, health officials offered testing and antibiotics, and a worker showed a suspected skin anthrax case awaiting biopsy.
