Treger Champions Art Over Career In Cedar Rapids
Violinist Charles Treger tells The Gazette that art should trump commercialism and limits concert schedules to four months a year. He performs Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with the Cedar Rapids Symphony at the Paramount Theatre, with touring duties alongside wife Deborah and teaching posts at Hartt School and Lawrence University. The piece is paired with a long career note highlighting early training, Wieniawski prize, and duo work with pianist Andre Watts. Tickets vary by show and price level.
