Campaign fundraising tops 600000 in Iowa Senate District 18 race
Democrat Liz Mathis leads in cash contributions for the Linn County special election to fill Senate District 18. Mathis reports 127706 total from Oct 15 to Nov 1, with 64 300 raised in that period. Republican Cindy Golding shows 846 total, including 94061 with 62382 from party committees. Mathis outspent in Oct 15 to Nov 1, while both campaigns anticipate heavy final days.
