Dutch police arrest 8 in filmmaker slaying

Fire destroys wing of 19th century Prince George’s Courthouse
A four alarm wind driven fire gutted two floors of the 19th century Prince George’s County Courthouse in Upper Marlboro. Fire Chief Chauncey Bowers said the blaze began on the roof about 8 30 a m. The old building connected to a modern wing suffered heavy damage while the dome cupola remained charred. Judge proceedings were canceled and staff sent home. County Executive Jack Johnson noted the renovation cost reached 27 million dollars and said total loss status was not yet determined. No injuries were reported.
