The Cedar Rapids Marion Community Chest passes 95 percent of its goal with $257,322 raised toward a $270,362 target for 24 Red Feather agencies. General Chairman John B. Tuthill says the goal can be reached as more donors respond. The public service division led by Frank Cosgrove went over the top, with several named regiments exceeding targets.
