Craig Rogers 21 of Cedar Rapids remained in serious condition at Lutheran Hospital La Crosse after a two car collision about 10 miles north of Decorah Friday evening. Inglelson 23 and Greve Mimi were also hospitalized after the wreck near the Grindeland rural school. Police reported Rogers drove north on a blacktop near Newhouse road when Inglelson attempting a left turn caused the crash. Both cars were declared a total loss.
A Hedrick youth Allan Thompson, 15, died Friday evening in a two-vehicle crash east of Hedrick on mule 149. Thomas Murphy, 24, Cedar Rapids, drove another car that struck the Thompson vehicle after it allegedly failed to stop at a gravel road intersection. Three other passengers in the Thompson car were injured and treated. two teens from Hedrick and a 40 year old from Cedar Rapids were hospitalized and released.
