Gov. Herschel Loveless told Iowa Federation of Labor delegates that reapportionment harms labor responsibility and calls for shift to broader state and local governance. He criticized the union shop ban, sales tax burden on workers, and Eisenhower policies on hard money and public works. The governor later planned a weekend trip to Chicago and Ann Arbor.
