Iowa banks see 11 percent profit drop in Q1 2013
Iowa aggregate bank profits slid 11 percent to 196 million in the first quarter from 220 million a year earlier. FDIC data show national banks earned 40.3 billion, up from 34.8 billion. Net interest margins fell to 3.23 percent from 3.47 percent.
