Retired Iowa fence man keeps rare barbed wire collection
Everett J. Mayberry, longtime Jones County supervisor and farmer, living on his Cass Township land, has built a collection of over 100 barbed wire samples dating from early fences to wartime containment. He values pieces by age, rarity, and condition, trading with friends and relatives across the country for additions.
