Brucemore garden feeds Cedar Rapids food pantries
The Brucemore estate grounds host a new large vegetable garden tended by Feed Iowa First volunteers. The 20 by 30 foot plot grows herbs tomatoes peppers and root crops for area food pantries while the house remains closed to the public. Workdays are Thursdays with harvest distributed to neighborhoods facing food insecurity.
