Cedar Rapids police say 27 year old Todd Henry was arrested after attempting to ignite a tenant package at Kingston Village Apartments in southwest Cedar Rapids. He faced first degree arson and public intoxication charges after witnesses and video aided the investigation.
The Log reports multiple individuals charged in Eastern Iowa counties from March 11 to Feb 11. Names include Lona Harbas, Antoine Sykes, Eduardo Salamanca, Lydia Cook, Keith Ward Taylor, Jacob Pike, Austin Ritter, Xavier Washpun, Justin Brown, and Daniel Stone. Offenses include second offense charges and various crimes.

Two teenagers were killed and two injured, all riding in a pickup struck by an eastbound BNSF train at a crossing east of Murray in Clarke County Iowa. The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, authorities said. The two survivors suffered life threatening injuries and were airlifted to a hospital. Names were not released.
A 41 year old Cedar Rapids man Mathurin Petit is charged in Linn County District Court with five counts of third degree sexual abuse relating to a 15 year old girl. The alleged assaults occurred July 1 to Sept 30 2019. Bail set at 25000 cash only and a no contact order issued. If convicted he faces up to 50 years in prison.
