A 2.2 million Cardiovascular Center dedication at the University of Iowa College of Medicine marks a major research expansion. Dr. Julius Axelrod of the National Institute of Mental Health and Dr. Mary Jane Jesse of the American Heart Association attended, praising the program's track record and future impact. The facility houses labs, faculty offices, a library, a learning center, and a computerized mannequin named Harvey used for teaching and clinical simulations.
