Chanard Hawkins a 28 year old from Chicago pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance in November He was sentenced to 70 months in federal prison plus six years of supervised release Hawkins previously faced counts in 2016 and was found with heroin fentanyl and marijuana in a Cedar Rapids arrest During a strip search deputies found over 9 grams of fentanyl and 25 grams of a heroin fentanyl mix in his buttocks The case was prosecuted by Dillon Edwards and investigated by DEA Linn County Sheriff's Office and local police agencies.
