Cedar Rapids man gets five years in hospital parking lot stabbing
Amstrong Massamba a 26 year old Congo born resident pleaded guilty to willful injury and going armed with intent. He stabbed a woman eight months pregnant outside UnityPoint Health St Luke’s Hospital and stabbed her friend when intervention occurred. He received five year terms on each conviction but the judge ordered them served concurrently for a total of five years. The victim described ongoing fear and stress from the 22 August incident.
