Kirkwood approves new 155-seat lecture hall at Cedar Hall
Kirkwood Community College directors approved a 155-seat lecture hall as part of Cedar Hall additions with a $322,546 cost. Bids on the hall were adjusted after removing a low plumbing bid. The project adds TV monitor capability and potential wide use for lectures and small performances. Board also rehired 20 of 32 laid-off workers and raised mileage reimbursement to 24 cents. Allen returned from Taiwan after visiting as guest of the Nationalist Chinese Ministry of Education and praised the island’s advanced tech society and its political economic mobility.
