Regents to Form Panel on Campus Safety at Iowa Schools
The Iowa Board of Regents will consider creating a Campus Safety and Security Subcommittee to review safety reports at UI, ISU, and UNI and to oversee training on identifying and preventing sexual violence and Title IX issues. The panel would meet at least twice a year, part of a six point plan under UI President Sally Mason. The effort follows increased national focus and OCR investigations into ISU and campus responses to sexual violence.
