Lawyer fees approved for prisoner clinic in Iowa case
District Judge William Stuart approved nearly $3,400 in attorneys fees and costs for the Iowa Prisoner Assistance Clinic at the University of Iowa. The ruling affirms a lower court award of $3,371 in a suit over inmates access to the courts. The 1977 lawsuit prompted a prison law library and guidelines for prisoner legal representation at Oakdale.
