Memorial Day ceremony honors veterans at Veterans Memorial Building
About 375 people attended Monday’s hourlong program sponsored by the Metro Area Veterans Council. The New Horizons Band performed patriotic music while Shawndell Young sang the national anthem. Col. Debra Cook urged remembering all service members and teaching younger generations. A three volley salute and taps closed the ceremony.
