Open house for St Matthew's Catholic parish parsonage at 25 First Avenue E runs 2 to 5 p.m. The six to ten room bungalow has been remodeled into a larger residence with a new roof and modern interiors. The Rev J D Kearn and staff oversaw the project with CB Zalesky as architect and Frank Whitters as contractor.

Remodel Grant High For Offices Of The Board Of Education
Remodeling of the old Grant high school at 346 Second avenue SW for use as the administration building of Cedar Rapids Independent School District is expected to finish by mid July. Work has progressed for three weeks and will house offices for the superintendent secretary supervisors clerks plus a maintenance store room and shops. For twelve years the admin offices were in the old Jefferson school at A avenue and Eighth street NE. There is talk of using that building for a special school for handicapped children. no action taken yet.

Remodeling Plans for First Baptist Church Unveiled
