Hiker dies after injures on Palisades Kepler Trail
Coralville man Brian Jungen, 32, was found gravely injured on the Cedar Cliff Trail at Palisades Kepler State Park in Mount Vernon. Park rangers and responders tried to save him after four hikers found him bleeding from head wounds and unresponsive. The Iowa DNR is investigating the death.

Waterloo man extradited to Tennessee for murder charge
Iowa man Clark Perry Baldwin, a truck driver, was extradited to Maury County Tennessee to face charges in the 1991 strangulation slaying of Pamela Rose McCall and her unborn child. DNA evidence linked him to semen found with the victim. Baldwin, 58, is held on a $1 million bond awaiting an early June initial court appearance.

Cedar Rapids man dies in tractor accident
Authorities identified 62 year old Clarence Volesky of Cedar Rapids as the tractor driver killed when a tractor attachment collapsed at 1404 Walford Road. The Linn County Sheriff's Office said the incident occurred at about 5 10 p.m. Thursday.
