Pint 90 died at Peoples Memorial Hospital with services at St John Catholic Church and burial at the church cemetery. Charlotte Marie Williams 94 formerly of 11 Arbor Hill Circle died Sunday at Lantern Park Care Center Coralville after a long illness. Services at 11 a.m. Thursday at St Patrick's Catholic Church burial at St Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Donohue-Leasing Funeral Home where a parish vigil begins at 7. Survived by sister Beatrice Spartz of Fairfield Montana.

Waterloo boy Cleveland White Marsh 8 lost his left arm after a fall on railroad tracks near Linden Avenue. An ambulance rushed him to Iowa hospitals. In Ames, Texas man Daryl Wayne Smith 31 of Houston was struck and killed by a westbound freight train near Duff Avenue.
Des Moines AP reports two thirds of Iowa’s 553 banks earned more in 1991, with total net income at 379 million dollars up 8 percent. Only 12 banks lost money, none failed, while Norwest Bank Iowa and Davenport Bank and Trust led profits. Net income rose 10.1 percent versus a 5.6 percent U.S. average. ROA stood at 1.07 percent against 0.53 nationally.

Elizabeth L. Meyer, 17, of Fairbank died after a car struck a bridge on a gravel road 1 1/4 miles north of Westgate at 12 46 a m Sunday. She was taken to Mercy Hospital in Oelwein and pronounced dead on arrival. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department and Iowa State Patrol are investigating.
A Solon man was in good condition at Mercy Medical Center after a late evening one car crash on Old River Road in southwest Cedar Rapids. Police said the vehicle left the road and entered a ditch. charges are pending as details remain unavailable.
