Dr Ruml Honored For 50 Years Of Medical Service In Cedar Rapids
Fifty years after beginning as a boy apprentice with Dr. Henry Ristine in Cedar Rapids Wentzle Ruml became a renowned surgeon. He trained at Northwestern and served as industrial surgeon for major firms. He was a public servant, chair of the school board, and a medical corps captain in World War I. The Ruml family long controlled Cedar Rapids properties and contributed the Jane Boyd Community House.
