Roosevelt urges laws to fix bottom wage and work week ceiling
Roosevelt argues for federal standards to raise purchasing power and stabilize farm markets. He supports national legislation to set minimum wages, maximum hours, and child labor limits, with state action encouraged where federal reach is limited. He warns against private interest blocks and calls for flexible, practical standards. The message aims to reduce unemployment and broaden living standards through coordinated economic policy.
