House of Teachers neighbors through Olmsted era Cedar Rapids home
Gorge M Olmsted moved his family into the Queen Anne home at 1403 Second Ave Cedar Rapids in December 1896. The property later housed Rev Hiram Huston and Mary Ellen Rogers Brownell, with daughters who taught at Coe College and local schools, and notable links to the Olmsted soap business, cheese factory, and civic roles.
