Petition Rehearing on E W Clark Case
Iowa Supreme Court considers a petition by E W Clark state insurance commissioner seeking rehearing of the ruling upholding the executive council s power to compel him to appear and account for official actions before the council Clark whose term ends July 1 faced citations in 1933 over two major insurance cases and had sought district court relief before the 1935 decision urging that the council lacked authority to try or discharge appointed officials the defense argues the principles involved should not stand as settled law in Iowa.
