Army Teaches Cedar Rapids Police to Detect Explosives
An Army explosives team conducted a three day training for Cedar Rapids officers, training over 100 policemen in recognizing and disposing of common explosives. Lt Marion Lee led the course with safety rules and hands on practice including disarming mock devices and TNT tasting to aid recognition. The program aims to shorten response time and improve evacuation and containment when incidents involve explosives or nuclear vehicle accidents.
