Iowa Democrats form farm plank group in Des Moines
The Iowa Democratic farm committee named a three man group Friday to draft a farm plank for the party platform. Members Harold Teachout Guy Smith and Maurice O Reilly are appointed. A plan includes price stabilization soil and water conservation and rural electrification. Polk County Attorney Clyde E Herring asked the committee to draft the agricultural plank for his gubernatorial campaign.

TV Repossession Suit Lost by Iona Woman
In Des Moines federal court, a 26 year old Iona woman, Bonnie Jones, lost her $10,000 suit against General Electric Credit Corporation claiming emotional distress and miscarriage after her television was repossessed on January 19. Judge William F. Riley directed a verdict for the defendant. The TV had been purchased in April.
