Grant Wood AEA drops plan to reshape Special Education
Grant Wood Area Education Agency board halted the March proposed restructuring of the Special Education Division citing lack of staff acceptance. The plan would have created multispecialty teams and a single school contact, with concerns about supervisors outside specialists. The board may study alternatives and consider a needs assessment next year. The meeting also approved 1985-86 budget amendments and selected an architectural firm to design a new Coralville Iowa City AEA facility.

Tipton Hearing Set To Vacate Alley Between VFW And Ron's
Tipton City Council set a public hearing for June 3 at 7 p.m. on vacating the alley between the VFW hall and Ron's Feed Supply. If vacated, the land would revert to the two businesses. Ron Braddock will cover all costs and plans a 4 by 8 inch concrete pad for a bulk bin. A needed easement area, tied to a telephone company right of way, delayed action until a land amount was clarified after a May 6 meeting.
