Ford Foundation Plans Public Offering Of Ford Stock
The Ford Foundation will sell six million Ford Motor Co. shares in a public offering valued at about 346 million at current prices. The foundation has begun talks with Ford and underwriters led by First Boston to file with the SEC and offer the stock likely in the latter part of June. This would be the seventh Ford share offering by the foundation, which owns 45.7 million shares and would represent about 5.4 percent of Ford’s 110.6 million outstanding shares.
