Prepare for Both Career and Home Girls Urged by Arthur Edson
Washington AP reports the women’s bureau released an eight page booklet urging college girls to prepare for both home and job rather than choosing between marriage or a career. It notes many occupations favor women and lists group sizes, showing higher numbers in teaching librarians and nursing, while professions like dentistry and engineering remain very male dominated. The piece concludes by urging girls to hedge their bets on both paths.
