Mrs. Joseph Tehan died after a three month illness in Belle Plaine at age 70. Funeral services are set for 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Church with burial in St. Joseph's cemetery Chelsea. Born Mary Chvala northeast of Chelsea, she married Joseph Tehan June 24, 1889. The couple lived in Tilton before moving to Belle Plaine about 45 years ago where he was roadmaster for the Chicago and North Western Railway. Surviving are her husband, seven daughters, three brothers and three sisters, plus many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her son Joseph died in childhood.
