Surrey rides proposed in Iowa City
Iowa City considers a horse drawn surrey ride as a city ordinance change. Robert Hesseltine, local hair salon owner, envisions a four passenger, two horse coach with top hats and tails. He cites Madison Wisconsin as a model and plans photos and a Sunday groomed parade but says profit is secondary to fun and city charm. He may hire two ISU veterinary students as coaches and could expand if successful.
