Cedar Rapids man faces meth arson charges in apartment fire
Cedar Rapids police say 33 year old Christopher R. Falls was charged with manufacturing meth first degree arson two counts of meth precursors possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a kitchen fire at 1611 Park Towne Lane NE Unit 4. The building was evacuated briefly and the unit must be professionally cleaned due to smoke damage. Falls has prior charges including possession of a firearm as a felon and meth precursors. Local authorities and fire crews responded at 6 36 a m Thursday.
