Willie Ray Dean 42 of Dubuque faces a murder trial set to begin July 11 in Dubuque County District Court. He is charged with the April 7 beating death of Sylvester H. Baker 40, who died April 25 from injuries after a fight in Dubuque. Dean is jailed in the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center on $100000 bond following a pretrial conference.
