TV Set for Girls Track Televised State Meet
The Iowa Girls state high school track and field championships, first televised since 1961, will air highlights Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. on IE NB channels 11 12 24 27 32. IEBN will cover over 15 events from Drake University Stadium Des Moines with cooperation from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. The meet caps seven weeks of regular season and district play involving about 475 schools and 7,500 competitors, with over 1,300 girls expected from 305 Iowa schools.

Green Charged With Rape Near Roseburg
Two NFL players Woody Green of Kansas City and Rich Lewis of the Jets were arrested on rape charges in Douglas County Oregon.
