Betty Jeanne Laurer Weds Richard G Whiteaker in Cedar Rapids First Presbyterian

Betty Jeanne Laurer and Richard G Whiteaker wed at 2 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Cedar Rapids ceremony. The bride wore Chantilly lace and satin with an illusion veil and carried lilies of the valley and ivory cymbidiums. The groom is son of Mrs Clare Whiteaker of Chicago. The couple will reside at 1415 First Avenue SE after a two week honeymoon in Arizona.

Miss Kouba to Wed James C. Falcon in Iowa City

June 6 is the announced wedding date for Miss Jo Fran Kouba of Cedar Rapids and James C. Falcon of Waterloo. The ceremony will be at Danforth chapel, University of Iowa, with both graduates of UI. Kouba teaches in Libertyville Illinois, Falcon works for Chamberlain Corporation in Waterloo.

Women Voters Set Membership Coffee in Cedar Rapids

The Cedar Rapids League of Women Voters hosts a membership coffee Tuesday from 8 to 9 30 p.m. at the Iowa Electric Light and Power Company Bungalow. Speakers include Richard Spencer Frank Nye Elliott Waples Cole McMartin Don Watson Jarvis Burner Charles Anderson M R Warren and Carl Broman. Mrs Nye and Mrs Spencer will host at the coffee table. YWCA Sign To Be Lit At Monday Ceremony

The YWCA will light a new sign in an outdoor ceremony after installing Y-Teen officers for the coming year. Suzanne Lewellen will preside, presenting the sign to Katherine Franken. Y-Teen officers from McKinley Roosevelt Wilson and Franklin groups, plus advisers and committee members, will attend with guests and refreshments to follow. five Cedar Rapids women attend the Oklahoma City PTA convention.
