Weather balloon launch links Metro STEAM to GreatAmerica
A 1,200 gram weather balloon released from a Cedar Rapids parking garage rose toward 90,000 feet as part of a promotional tied to GreatAmerica Financial Services 25th anniversary. Aging sex offender dies at state facility in Independence
William Russell Cubbage 88 died Friday at the Mental Health Institute in Independence amid ongoing questions about his care for aging sex offenders.
