Doctors treating myelodysplastic syndrome reported that the experimental drug Revlimid reduced transfusion needs and eliminated disease signs in about half of patients. Experts see potential for deep remission, with Revlimid likely to reach market. the therapy boosts the immune system and has fewer side effects than previous treatments.
